Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara Safari - 3 Days

If you are looking to see all of Africa’s big game, especially the iconic lion, this is the perfect safari for you. Visit the best wildlife spots in northern Tanzania. Day 1
Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you drive to Tarangire National Park where your safari starts. This lovely park has the largest concentrations of elephants in the world and the highest number of breeding bird species. Especially during the dry season, Tarangire National park is packed with wildlife. Big cats like lions, cheetahs, and leopards, but also the seldom seen Kudu, Oryx, and Gerenuk. The Tarangire River draws huge herds of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, as well as predators who prey upon them. Later in the afternoon, you drive for dinner and overnight to Twiga Campsite (Mto wa mbu).

Day 2
Ngorongoro Crater Tour

After check out an early breakfast, with packed lunch transfer and descend to the crater floor for full day game viewing, while here expect to see a variety of birds including thousands of flamingoes and other water birds. The big game here includes the endangered black rhinos, elephant, zebras, hippos, gazelle, and predators such as lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and leopards. Break for lunch at the picnic site and thereafter proceed with game viewing up to the late evening when you will ascend the crater and drive back to Arusha town.

Late evening, drive to Manyara Twiga Campsite for dinner and overnight. Full Board.

Day 3
Lake manyara National Park Then Back to Arusha

Early morning after breakfast, pick up from hotel your with packed lunch and proceed to Lake Manyara National Park for game viewing in the Northern part of the Park. Here expect to see a game such as buffaloes, elephants including the famous tree climbing lions. Break off for refreshment and lunch at the picnic site. After lunch drive southwards, here you will be greeted by bubbling hot springs and a herd of hippos. Also expect to see a variety of birds including pelicans, cormorants and thousands of flamingoes.

We expect to be back in Arusha around 5pm although we are flexible in case there is a flight to catch or another situation.

What’s the weather like in Tanzania?
